The Level A(1) Library - Learn To Read Books includes twelve Level 1 books. These books are designed for early readers, typically children in Kindergarten or early Grade One or those learning English as an additional language.

Each Level 1 book follows a simple format with one sentence used throughout, promoting memory retention and word association. The consistent text and picture correspondence in Level 1 aids beginners in experiencing reading success.

When using the Learn To Read Books, beginners are encouraged to read by pointing to each word while following along with their finger. Tapping on words enables audio support to help with pronunciation and comprehension. Customizable audio recordings are available, allowing users to adapt the spoken words to their regional language variation.

Included in the Learn To Read Library are high-frequency word flashcards that can be practiced before attempting each story. Children can tap on any word for auditory reinforcement, facilitating independent reading practice.

To foster reading skills, children must learn letter sounds, memorize high-frequency sight words, and read at their level. The Learn to Read Books, paired with letter-sound apps like "Z is for Zebra", provide a comprehensive approach for young learners to develop these foundational literacy skills.

The authors of the Learn to Read Books, Celesta Thiessen and Francie Humby, both certified teachers, leveraged a variety of educational resources in creating these materials.
